I work from photographs. One photo only is required for the face; for clothing, hands, feet, backgrounds etc, several may be required. When possible I prefer to take the photos myself. For small, face-only portraits, a clear 8x10 photo taken by client or other is fine. For group paintings, more information is required; I can often travel to the client and do the photographic work myself. This also enables me to make the acquaintance of the people I'm going to paint, a pleasant aspect of the photo phase. The client and I pick the photo(s) for the painting together.

I request half of the cost down at the beginning of the painting process, and half upon completion.

When the painting is complete, I deliver it in person or mail it to the client.

Generally people are thrilled and delighted with their portraits. I don’t flatter, but I see people as beautiful, and it shows.

• Half/three-quarters figure (with hands); approx. 36" x 48" - $6750.00 - $8,000.00
• Full figure 48" x 60" and up - $10,000.00 and up
